Please do understand that, within the pages of this and other titles, I am not urging you to break any laws. This is only a discussion and you should use great caution before making any novelty ID or other identification that could be used as a fake identity.

Even if a novelty ID is a very accurate reproduction of a state issued driver license, it is obvious that an ID card such as a driver license with a new born, cartoon characters, or movie stars are only novelty cards and cannot be used as fake IDs.

Making an alias ID is very risky business. You should carefully consider who might be looking for you and how far they will go to find you. Don't under construct an identification for your situation. There are three kinds of ID cards that can be used as an alias or fake ID. Using somebody else's ID card; procuring a bona fide ID through fake paperwork; and manufacturing what looks to be a bona fide ID. The first two are typically government issued and the third you issue to yourself. Each has uses and limitations.

In addition to the supplies needed to make ID cards and other documents used for identification, you will need a color printer, copier, scanner, and a photo edit program such as Photoshop. Kwink Kopy and similar places have self service computers, color printers, scanners, and copiers that you can use for a nominal charge.

You can download a thirty day free trial of Adobe Photoshop. You can order the supplies from eBay and other places. I will not sell the material to make ID cards and documents.

Most fake ID cards from the internet are junk that would not fool your little sister. If a site located in the USA sold good ID cards and fake driver licenses they would have trouble with law enforcement. Unless you have a source willing to work outside the law, such as someone working for the motor vehicle department, you can make much better ID Cards then you can buy from any USA based company.

Caution: Two people have advised me that http://fakeidreview.com/ is a scam. They told me they sent their money and received nothing and no response to their emails. Apparently, one person owns all the web sites listed and writes the reviews to con people into sending money. Also, I did request a free sample and received nothing.

Subject to age restrictions on the ID card, I believe you can order a very good quality novelty ID from in or near China at:
http://www.idchief.ph/. That is the only site, I have been able to find that sells novelty ID cards that is not a scam. Warning: The ID is shipped from outside the USA and must pass through customs. If customs happens to inspect the package, they will seize and there is some risk of prosecution. Therefore, I would recommend a mail drop that cannot be identified to you. However, for a single ID, there is very little risk of prosecution. Individuals that order 50 in a package, may be prosecuted.

Update (3-9-2013): Sources for ID cards:

1. http://www.idchief.ph/ was legit. However, they closed down in August 2012 due to pressure on China by the US government.

2. Some reviews claim www.idchief.pro and http://www.idchief.info/ are scams and use the name IDChief in their website to fool people into believing ID Chief has reopened.

3. http://www.dmv.ph/index.html may be legit. Although there are a couple of reviews on the site, I really don't trust on site reviews; especially, if there are only a couple. Until there is more information, I remain very skeptical and the use of a mail drop might be wise since any site could be a site by law-enforcement in order to arrest people that place orders.
